Jeffrey is an accomplished commercial real estate industry executive and acknowledged thought leader. His firm, Adaptive Office Resources, provides management consulting and strategy advisory to supply and demand-side constituencies with an emphasis on change management and enterprise performance improvement.
Jeffrey was President of Rosemont Realty Services, a privately-held investment firm based in Santa Fe, New Mexico overseeing all asset management and portfolio operations for the company’s 185-asset, 18M square foot base of office building assets across 28 states. The portfolio had a market capitalization of approximately $1.6B. During his tenure, he redesigned the diligence and underwriting protocols for the firm’s investment and acquisition model and led the on-boarding of approximately $637M in office building assets (approximately 3.4M SF) into the portfolio. Under his leadership, a comprehensive roadmap was developed and launched to re-engineer the overall organization from the ground up, including people, business and technology systems and process improvement. Jeffrey re-installed leadership resources, instituted a company-wide strategic sourcing initiative, moved business processes online and developed an in-house leasing apparatus that is operational in four major market areas.
Prior, Jeffrey was Chief Executive Officer of Redford Properties, a privately held real estate services company with operations in Utah, New Mexico and central California. Under his leadership, revenues more than tripled to $32 million until divestiture in late 2007.
From 1996 to 2002 Jeffrey was at CBRE, the world’s largest publicly traded commercial real estate services firm, as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer during a period of significant global expansion and growth. He also headed up the company’s Southwestern US operations overseeing 10 business lines producing $200M per annum with oversight of close to 1400 professionals.
During a two-year period, this region led the company in financial performance in the most heavily weighted key performance metrics of revenue growth, cost containment and net profitability. In working with one of the firm’s key clients, he was instrumental in the development of a proprietary series of software applications and research tools that are still in use today by the Pricewaterhouse Coopers real estate management team for strategic decision making support. Those tools enabled the PwC team to be named as finalists for the Innovator of the Year awards in 2006 at CoreNet Global, the Fortune 500 corporate real estate industry trade organization.
Jeffrey was a pioneer in the vertical integration of the corporate real estate services outsourcing business model at Langdon Rieder, which today has become industry standard practice and the platform on which CBRE, the largest commercial real estate services firm in the world has built their growth. He has been the recipient of a number of corporate (three-time winner of the James J. Didion leadership award at CBRE) and industry achievement awards, is a sought-after speaker as well as a published author with white papers in industry and trade magazines such as the Corporate Real Estate Leader.
Jeffrey studied economics at UCLA and splits his time between Santa Fe, NM and Southern California.
